Project for Public Spaces
PPS Announces "Streets as Places"-- A Transportation Training Seminar
"Streets as Places," a two-day training seminar in New York City, will introduce participants to new ways of thinking about streets as public spaces and show how Placemaking can build great streets and great communities. Presentations will center on the design and management of streets, roads, and transit facilities to benefit communities and serve mobility needs via a series of case studies. Day two features a walking tour of recent street improvement projects in NYC, an on-site Placemaking street audit, and open discussions about current transportation issues and challenges.
The fee for this seminar is $425 per person. Registration is now open-- space is limited. Visit www.pps.org for registration and course schedule.
