Olive Court: A Model for Reclaiming the Boulevard
Saturday, Nov. 3, 2007
10:00 a.m. – noon
323 Dayman Street
Long Beach, CA 90806
(Off Long Beach Blvd. one block north of Pacific Coast Highway)
Southern California cities and towns are crisscrossed by unattractive thoroughfares lined with mini-malls and low slung commercial buildings. The City of Long Beach and Livable Places are trying to break that unsightly pattern with the recently completed Olive Court. The thoughtfully designed Olive Court is a model for building medium density along boulevards backed by neighborhood of single family homes. Join us for a cup of coffee, a tour of Olive Court and a discussion with Livable Places, Studio E Architects and the City of Long Beach partners who put it all together.
Free and open to the public. RSVP to [email protected]
