Greater Downtown Area Plan - Kansas City, Missouri
City Planning and Development Department - Kansas City, Missouri
REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS
GREATER DOWNTOWN AREA PLAN
KANSAS CITY, MISSOURI
Downtown Kansas City, Missouri is undergoing a transformation, experiencing an eruption of economic development in an excess of $4.5 billion over the past few years. During that time, the combination of residential development, the construction of major community anchors and commercial developments have positively transformed what this area looks like and its general perception as a place.
There are also 11 diverse neighborhoods within the Greater Downtown Area. Some are thriving with growing development pressures and need plans to ensure compatible development. Others are in need of economic development and revitalization strategies.
In order to make certain that the City is able to continue to benefit from this development activity, while addressing unique neighborhood needs, The City of Kansas City, Missouri is issuing a request for Proposals (RFP) to consultant firms interested in providing professional urban planning and design services for the completion of the Greater Downtown Area Plan.
