High Capacity Transportation Planner - Job# 687
City of Bellevue
This position is responsible for project results and is expected to work largely independently to manage assigned projects. The incumbent will work under the general supervision of the Regional Projects Manager to manage complex and potentially controversial transportation planning and research projects; community outreach efforts; and City Council initiated activities. The incumbent will coordinate the objectives and work of multiple city departments and those of partner agencies; respond to City Council, Commission, and citizen inquiries; facilitate discussions; and develop and present recommendations. Chief assignments from the current workload may include: staffing and management of a City-initiated light rail transit best practices committee, assistance in development of the East Link light rail extension, and assistance in the development of a bus rapid transit line.
