Yakima County Conference of Governments (YVCOG)


Serves as a resource to the community by providing technical assistance to the public and other agencies regarding ordinances, standards and plans that govern development; processes current development applications and assists with preparation of housing rehabilitation grants and contracts.

Reviews, corrects and enters projects into the Transportation Improvement Program database.

Performs planning research and legislative analysis.

Conducts special projects such as reviewing and commenting on proposed changes to development ordinances or performing traffic counts on roadways and analyzing the information to develop and write reports.

Prepares and presents staff reports to the MPO/RTPO Technical Advisory Committee. Represents YVCOG or member jurisdiction at state and local meetings and may be called upon to testify at hearings.

Prepares monthly newsletter articles and written documentation to support billable hours.
