BOCEP Offers Serious Learners An Affordable Way To Fulfill AICP Continuing Education Credits
Rutgers University, Edward J. Bloustein School of Planning and Public Policy
Members of the American Institute of Certified Planners are now required to get 32 credits of continuing education to maintain their AICP membership. With the Bloustein Online Continuing Education Program, you can complete all of your credits for less than it would cost to attend two weekend seminars. Every BOCEP course is worth 14 AICP continuing education credits, and costs between $160 and $260.
But that's not the best reason to take a BOCEP course. We offer high quality, interactive, and convenient training and development for professionals who want to be more effective. BOCEP courses:
*Are taught by seasoned practitioners who engage students through facilitated dialogues.
*Provide opportunities for professionals to work on real projects and get advice and insights from their colleagues.
*Have no required meetings. But they are interactive because students engage in dialogues through discussion boards and webconferences.
*Can be accessed from almost any computer with an Internet connection. You've never taken an online course? Don't worry. Most of our students haven't either, and the vast majority of those surveyed said they got a lot out of their courses and would recommend the program to their colleagues.
*Cover a wide variety of interesting and timely subjects. We offer courses in community and economic development, leadership and management, planning law and legal issues, smart growth and sustainable development, and urban design and placemaking.
Our next session of courses start in May and June. They are:
*Cultural Competency: Skills for Working with Diverse Communities
*Affordable Housing Strategies
*Arts and Cultural Development: Gaining the Benefits of the Creative Economy
*Developer's Toolbox: Retail Market Analysis
*Youth Participation: Giving Young People a Place at the Planning Table
*Professional's Writing Studio II: Writing Effective Plans and Proposals
*Introduction to Environmental Planning
*Effective Client Relations
*Improving Staff Performance
