Form-Based Codes Institute
The Form-Based Codes Institute (FBCI) is pleased to announce the first award for achievement in the writing and implementation of Form-Based Codes: "a method of regulating development to achieve a specific urban form. Form-Based Codes create a predictable public realm by controlling physical form primarily, with a lessor focus on land use, though city or county regulations." Entries may be submitted by any interested party; there is no entry fee. Entries should foster built results consistent with a masterplan or advance the field of Form-Based Code writing. Submitted ocdes must have been adopted into law by a unit of government. Distinguished jurors for this year's award are Elizabeth Plater-Zyberk (Chair), Rick Bernhardt, and Paul Crawford. For additonal information on the award, Form-Based Coding, and the award submission form, visit the FBCI website: www.formbasedcodes.org.
