Land Use Planner

Sierra Business Council

Sierra Business Council requires a highly motivated individual with a background in land use planning, urban design, and/or landscape architecture and at least 2 years of professional experience. We are particularly interested in candidates with a strong background in smart-growth approaches to community planning and an ability to incorporate smart growth into general plan implementation strategies.

Knowledge of workforce housing issues, experience with incorporating innovative approaches to development into built projects, and knowledge of the California planning process is a plus. Private sector experience representing project proponents is highly desired. She/he will be excited about the opportunity to help small towns in the Sierra Nevada implement change.
