Georgia DCA Office of Planning & Quality Growth announces Planner Positions
Georgia Department of Community Affairs
Qualifications: Technical competence and knowledge of the principles and practices of urban planning at the local, regional and state levels. Skills in written and oral communication, flexibility, decision-making and self-direction. The ability to work effectively as a member of a team, as well as the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and successfully track and report project status. Knowledge of desktop computer applications, particularly database, word processing and spreadsheet applications (Access, Word, Excel and Power Point).
Minimum Training and Experience for minimum hiring level: A Master's degree in city/urban/regional planning, public administration or related field OR an undergraduate degree in city/urban/regional planning, public administration and at least two years of professional level experience in planning, public administration, or local government management.
Positions report to a section manager, Ofc of Planning & Quality Growth. Provide day to day support for the Section. Fulfill responsibilities related to Georgia Comprehensive Planning Program and outreach or education programs (see www.GeorgiaPlanning.com for program information).
