Transit-Oriented District Station Area Planning

The City of Austin, through its Neighborhood Planning & Zoning Department and its Public Works Department, is requesting statements of qualifications for the selection of a consulting firm to develop Station Area Plans for the areas surrounding up to six , Phase One of Urban Commuter Rail Stations along the Capital Metro Northwest Commuter Rail line and up to three Phase One of Bus Rapid Transit Stations. The estimated budget for these services is $450,000.

A Request for Statements of Qualifications (RFQ) for these services is available which provides project background and requirements for submittal. A pre-response meeting will be held beginning at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, January 12, 2006, in the 3rd Floor Training Room, at One Texas Center, 505 Barton Springs Road, Austin, Texas. The purpose of the meeting will be to respond to consultants' questions about the project and the procurement process. Attendance at the meeting is not a requirement for selection; however, meeting minutes will not be issued.
Should your firm have an interest in providing these professional services, we ask that you obtain a copy of the RFQ and return ten (10) copies of your statement of qualifications to the Public Works Department, Professional Services Procurement, Attn: MaryLou Ochoa, 505 Barton Springs Road, Suite 1045, Austin, Texas 78704, PRIOR to 5:00 p.m., Monday, January 30, 2006. The selection process for this project is anticipated to be completed for City Council action in March, 2006. Please provide all the information requested in the RFQ in your submittal.
