Capital Area Metropolitan Planning Organization

The Capital Area Metropolitan Planning Organization (CAMPO) is the federally-designated Metropolitan Planning Organization for a three county region that includes the cities of Austin, San Marcos, and Round Rock, Texas. CAMPO is seeking consultation and technical assistance for marketing and facilitating one or more public workshops to develop several alternative growth concepts for a study area that includes the 5-county Austin-Round Rock Metropolitan Statistical Area. The workshop results will form the basis for CAMPO to develop and approve a regionally-preferred growth concept.

The preferred growth concept will be used in the selection of major transportation investments for the upcoming CAMPO 2035 Metropolitan Transportation Plan update, and likely local policy changes resulting from the concept will be factored into the population and employment forecast methodology used in the plan update process.

The workshops would occur in April 2006 with development of alternative growth concepts and summary materials to be completed by June 2006.

A pre-proposal conference is scheduled for Thursday, November 17, 2005 at 10:00 a.m. at Room 700 of One Texas Center.

All proposals must be submitted to the Capital Area Metropolitan Planning Organization Office no later than 1:00 p.m., CST, Friday, December 9, 2005. No late proposals or faxed proposals will be accepted.
