The City of Austin is requesting statements of qualifications for the selection of a consulting firm to update Austin's Zoning Code and its supporting technical manuals, rules and standards in order to achieve more sustainable development patterns and building design throughout Austin. The City desires that the Zoning Code achieves the best possible integration of land use and transportation resulting in high-quality building, site and urban design. The estimated budget for these services is $250,000.

A RFQ for these services is available providing project background and requirements for submittal. A pre-response meeting will be held at One Texas Center, 505 Barton Springs Road, 3rd Floor Training Room, Austin, Texas, on Friday, November 5, 2004 at 2:30 p.m. The purpose of the meeting will be to respond to consultants' questions about the project and the procurement process. Attendance at the meeting is not a requirement for selection; however, meeting minutes will not be issued.

Should your firm have an interest in providing these professional services, we ask that you obtain a copy of the RFQ and return eight (8) copies of your statement of qualifications to the Public Works Department, Professional Services Procurement, Attn: Carolyn Williams, 505 Barton Springs Road, Suite 1045, Austin, Texas 78704, PRIOR to 5:00 p.m., Friday, November 19, 2004.
