Richard Carson, planner and writer, will speak to the Triangle Community Coalition in Raleigh, North Carolina on June 9th. The Coalition is a business group that believes in "smart growth plans that place equal priority on the environment, community and home affordability." Carson will speak on the experience of state-mandated land use planning in the Pacific Northwest states of Oregon and Washington, and how North Carolina can learn from the lessons of the Pacific Northwest.
