A half-day seminar that will provide a complete overview of the Dynamic Planning process, a better way to plan and achieve transformative community change. Included will be a discussion of the most effective Charrette methodologies.

The Problem:

The impacts of growth are effecting virtually every community. Conventional public involvement approaches to planning and development efforts continue to fail, at considerable political, legal and economic costs.

The Solution:

The Charrette is a collaborative process for empowering people who are important to a project to work together and support the results. Though Charrettes can be used virtually any time a product needs to be created or designed, the NCI Charrette focuses on regional and local planning, design, development, and protection of public and private lands and buildings. This course will provide you with the framework and an overview of the tools and techniques needed to utilize the Charrette process.

Anybody involved with community planning and development will benefit from learning about this powerful collaborative planning process. Elected officials, planning staff, developers, concerned citizens and others will all learn valuable tools and techniques that will improve their daily work.
