Cuba's Built Heritage
Virginia Tech
You are invited to participate in a unique opportunity to explore the built environments of Havana and Trinidad (especially the UNESCO World Heritage sites) and the "Heroic" city of Santa Clara.
This educational venture is available to alumni/friends of CAUS and one travel companion during February 28 - March 8, 2003.
Professor Joseph L. Scarpaci, of the Department of Urban Affairs and Planning, will lead the trip. He has authored several works on Cuba, including Havana: Two Faces of the Antillean Metropolis (with Roberto Segre, Mario Coyula; with a forward by Andre Duany). This marks his 36th trip to the island. Professor Scarpaci will procure a license from the U.S. Treasury.
