The LDRs will be updated in a three-stage process that will result in a completely re-written document. The first stage will be an update to correct existing deficiencies in the LDRs, and to provide a clear, concise format. The second stage will be a rewrite of existing code to implement new Comprehensive Plan policies adopted by the City Commission. The third stage will be new regulations addressing urban design of various overlay districts and neighborhood designations. The LDRs will be updated to incorporate principles of sustainability, agricultural and environmental best management practices, and good urban form. Sealed proposals must be delivered, one original and nine copies, by 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 8, 2002.
