UCLA Conference: Integrating Human Communities

UCLA Conference: Integrating Human Communities

UCLA

UCLA is having a one day free conference on Friday March 8. The areas

covered for this conference are as follows: smart growth, toxic and

noxious land uses, collaborative processes and land use decisions,

preservation of open space. The conference is sprinkled with some well

known names in these areas. I will be speaking on collaborative process

with a case study of the partnership that helped revitalize an inner

city Louisville neighborhood while other surounding neighborhoods fell

in decline. I will talk about the dynamics of collaborative processes

and how new urbanist principles were used to revitalize this poor

neighborhood. Over 100 people have already registerted and space is

limited. Folks wanting to go should contact Barbara Biles at (310)

794-5272 or via e-mail at [email protected]

.On-Site Registration is on a space-available

basis only. The conference is funded by the Frankel Foundation Below
