The Town of West Point is seeking to fill the position of Director of Community Development. The Town seeks an individual with a strong planning background to develop and manage the master planning process for the Town. The Director of Community Development is a department-head position charged with: providing professional advice to the Town Council, Town Manager, and appointed boards on land use related matters including maintenance of the Comprehensive Plan; updating and drafting ordinances; serving as zoning administrator; interpreting and enforcing compliance with the Town’s land use and environmental laws including zoning, subdivision, wetlands, and erosion and sediment control. Familiarity with ESRI GIS is preferred. Salary range is $30,000-$35,000 negotiable, with great benefits.
