Planners’ Professional Development Institute Releases 2002 Leadership Skills and Management Skills Courses for Planners
The Planners’ Professional Development Institute is pleased to announce the availability of the nation’s first multi-track planning leadership and management curriculum designed specifically to offer practical and applied on the job skills to today’s planners. The Leadership Skills track and the Management Skills track will each consist of six courses and offer a certificate of completion for each course and for each of the two tracks. Those planners completing all twelve courses in the Leadership and Management tracks will receive certification as a Certified Planning Manager.
During 2002 classes in both tracks will be offered throughout various regions of the United States on a rotating basis. Class dates and locations already scheduled may be obtained through contacting PPDI at [email protected], by calling 770-854-6516, or on the internet at www.ppdi.org.
PPDI courses are offered and will be instructed by Lisa J. Walker, P.G., AICP (previously Hollingsworth) and Clarence W. Walker. Lisa has over 20 years of professional planning, plan implementation, management, consulting, and instructional experience, and has most recently won several awards for her production of an environmental documentary that has been aired repeatedly on public television. Clarence Walker has over 25 years of systems and procedures planning, strategic planning, project management, plan implementation, procurement, management, consulting, curriculum development, training management, and college and corporate instructional experience and has received numerous corporate and industry awards for excellence in communications, education, and plan development and implementation.
PPDI welcomes inquiries from those who would be interested in co-hosting a presentation site in 2002 to contact PPDI at the earliest opportunity to discuss host incentives.
