The majority of people still bear in their heart visions of cities, houses, monuments which are meaningfully relating to collective memory, local traditions and ideals of harmony and beauty to be assessed by reason, sentiment and common sense.


A growing number of architects are comitting themselves again to work within the shared ideals of living communities and to serve future generations by building inhabitable places to last and to live.These often modest and unpretentious productions of great beauty and comfort are ignored and despised by the majority of the professional press.Katarxis offers its pages to credit the contemporary traditional architecture and urbanism as a major cultural contribution to the contemporary built environment!
