A Tale of Two States Presentation on October 31st
Clark County Department of Community Development
The Washington Chapter of the American Planning Association is sponsoring a free brown bag lunch presentation titled "A Tale of Two States" at the Renton City Hall on October 31st. The presenters are Rich Carson -- director of Clark County's Community Development Department and Marney Allen -- an attorney with the law firm of Preston, Gates and Ellis. Both have a extensive experience working with both the Oregon and the Washington state land use planning systems. They will contrast both systems and also talk about the recent property compensation law passed in Oregon. You can read two op-ed summaries of Rich Carson ideas on the subject on Planetizen at http://www.planetizen.com/oped/item.php?id=27 and at http://www.planetizen.com/oped/item.php?id=11.
