School Sprawl

Constance Beaumont author of the report "Why Johnny Can't Walk to School" will describe how small community centered schools, that have anchored older neighborhoods for generations, are being replaced by large inpersonable
schools on "sprawl sites" accessible only by car or bus. She will discuss recent policy innovations to overcome these problems. (September, 2001)
