In a slideshow for Quartz, Erik King highlights the 15 U.S. cities that made the most revenue on parking tickets in 2019 (acknowledging that parking policy and enforcement has changed in some cities since then).

San Jose made $11.4 million, amounting to $11.01 per capita. Madison, Wisconsin generated $5.2 million, but due to its small population, that amounts to $20.38 per capita. Milwaukee generated $14.9 million, or $25.10 per capita.

Los Angeles generated $148 million, or $37 per capita, while New York City “amassed a staggering $545 million” or $63.20 per capita.

At the top of the list, Baltimore generated $61.5 million, or $100.87 per capita.
