The popularity of e-bike rebate vouchers continues unabated in Denver.
The popularity of Denver’s e-bike incentive program continues, with 220 vouchers released by the city last Tuesday being snapped up in just over one minute.
As Kevin Beaty explains in Denverite, Emily Gedeon, a spokesperson for Denver's climate office said roughly 17,000 people applied for the vouchers. “Denver will offer more later this year, she said, and added that the state also offers $450 rebates at points-of-sale.”
E-bike rebate programs are proving popular in cities and states around the country, although some, like California’s, are struggling to get off the ground due to administrative issues. Denver began offering the $400 e-bike rebate ($1,200 for certain income levels) in 2022, offering around 3,000 vouchers in the first phase of the program.
