About the Position
Provides leadership for the administration of housing and community service programs that primarily serve low-to-moderate income households, including federal HOME and CDBG grants and the Public Housing Authority for Linn and Benton County.

Job Duties & Responsibilities
  • Delivers presentations to City Council, Boards & Commissions, and the public, as appropriate. 
  • Manages the development, implementation, and evaluation of federally funded programs, including the 5-year, Annual, and Administrative Plans. 
  • Secures funding and oversees the implementation of various state and federal housing and community service programs, including serving as the Executive Director of the Public Housing Authority and Administrator of the Community Development Block Grant and Home Investment Partnership program grants.
  • Oversees Boards & Commissions relevant to programs and funding.
  • Represents the City in collaboration with partner agencies on housing and social service work throughout the community. 
  • Supervises the work of assigned personnel, including assigning and reviewing work, providing guidance, and conducting performance evaluations. 
  • Performs related work as required.
Required Education and Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Urban Planning, Public Administration, Finance, or a related field and
  • Three (3) to five (5) years of experience with Community Development Block Grant, HOME Investment Partnership program, Housing Choice Voucher Program administration, or similar federal programs, or
  • An equivalent combination of education and/or training
  • Supervisory experience
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office
  • Ability to work collaboratively with diverse populations
Work Schedule
  • Monday - Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm
