Next-Generation Cities and Transportation (online course for planners and engineers)
Simon Fraser University (City Program)
Monday October 1, 2018
Location: Vancouver, BC
WebsiteThis 12-week online course provides a foundation in the principles and practices of next-generation transportation. Our current transportation system will undergo significant change, responding to climate, energy, technology, and cultural and economic shifts. Next-generation transportation anticipates these changes and advances multi-modal solutions that balance mobility and accessibility for people and goods. It plays an integral role in advancing liveable and sustainable cities of the future.
Our instructors— experienced, fresh-thinking sustainability leaders, policy-makers, planners, engineers, and decision-makers from North America and beyond — will provide context for past practice, improve on the conventional, discuss the radical and explore the possibilities that will make up transportation for the next generation.
The course starts October 1, 2018. It's one of four courses in Simon Fraser University's online Next-Generation Transportation Certificate. Take one course or take all four to earn the certificate.
