Responsibilities
An Associate will typically work on several projects at one time. Projects are diversified and include, but are not limited to assignments dealing with: market and demographic analysis, financial / pro forma assessments, economic development planning, land use, deal structuring, developer solicitation / negotiation, public/private partnership strategy planning and economic and fiscal impacts. Develop and maintain productive working relationships with client and undertake business development activities, including proposal writing and marketing, is also a key responsibility.
Requirements
Candidates should be proficient in real estate development economics, market analysis, quantitative analysis, financial analysis, data collection and research. Planning / finance experience with transit oriented development, economic development and urban revitalization/redevelopment desirable. Must have solid analytic organization, writing and presentation skills as well as a commitment to producing quality client products. Success at BBPC requires that you be a self-starter, exhibit strong report writing and time management skills and demonstrate positive attitude and ability to work well individually and in a group and conduct client presentations as necessary. Proficiency with MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) required. Advanced degree in planning, finance, economics/real estate, public policy or related field is desired. One to three years of related full-time experience is preferred. Salaries and benefits are competitive, based on experience, and are augmented by performance-based bonus compensation. The successful candidate must also be willing and able to travel occasionally, when necessary.
